Orlando Restaurants offer great values and choices in cuisine for the family

Image:Seafood samples.JPGNot only does Orlando, Florida house Disney World, but it has a very extensive range of restaurants and bars to satisfy any palette. For many hungry tourists who are not looking for upscale restaurants, there are plenty of chain-restaurants along The International Drive and Sand Lake Road that will satisfy their hunger. But if you are looking for upscale dining, restaurants like Atlantis at SeaWorld's Renaissance Resort and Victoria and Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort serve fresh seafood and impeccable American Continental cuisine. Plus, Disney's Lake Buena Vista area, EPCOT, Downtown Disney, and Universal Studios CityWalk promise eateries for all appetites and price ranges. Even celebrity chefs get in on the action: Emeril's features Continental cuisine with a Cajun kick. And if you're in downtown Orlando, take advantage of dining gems like Manuel's on the Twenty-Eighth, located atop the Nations Bank building. Suave, monied Winter Park also features superb restaurants, including the fashionable Park Plaza Gardens.
Whether looking for quick bites with the kids or far more sophisticated fare, some 4,500 restaurants near the theme park capital of the world are proof positive that gastronomic diversity can lead to happiness for residents and visitors alike. Orlando cuisine ranges from American to the finest of French, Continental, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. Add to that Chinese, Cuban, German, Mexican and more. Down home Barbeque is easy to find, as are locations for Delicatessen, Pizzeria, Healthy - Natural foods, Seafood and fresh catch from nearby waters in this Central Florida stronghold. Dinner Show – Theatre dining is especially popular in Orlando, along with opportunity to eat outside year around. As for attitude in a town driven by tourism, the operative word is "friendly."

Orlando is also the happening place when the lights dim as well, with its wide variety of bars and lounges. And if you're going to Orlando to party, you can go to the theme parks, too. By nightfall, places like Disney World and Universal Studios transform from kiddie-ride meccas to hopping club scenes with everything from techno and reggae to jazz and live comedy.

Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando is also a live spot for action. Nightclubs here are all the rage and the dance floors are jumping with locals and tourists alike. Expect dress codes and high cover charges at these clubs because the clientele here are often VIPs of the A-List sort - famous actors, musicians and athletes.

The bars and cocktail lounges along Orange Avenue are also hip spots to get your drink on, serving microbrews or famous frozen concoctions.

The neighborhood around International Drive also has some places worth checking out. Here you'll find great bars, theme restaurants and Latin clubs for salsa dancing.
